Neil Young + Promise of the Real - Wolf Moon

The Monsanto Years ονομάζεται το νέο άλμπουμ του Neil Young σε συνεργασία με το συγκρότημα του Lukas Nelson, γιου του Willie Nelson,  Promise of the Real.

Wolf moon thank you for rising
Big sky I'm grateful for your parting clouds
I know some hearts were broken
Big crows still flying in your sky
Herds of elk roam upon your meadows
And your eagle soars across my eyes
While you withstand the thoughtless plundering
Wolf moon keep on shining
Your days rolling by in timeless grace
Your heart just keeps on beating
Inside the beauty of this place
Less fish swimming in your oceans
Old ice floating in your seas
Still you hold against the constant plundering
Wolf moon
Wolf moon thank you for rising
Big sky I'm grateful for your parting clouds
Seeds of life your glowing fields of wheat
Windy fields of barley at your feet
While you endure the thoughtless plundering

The Vintage Caravan - Babylon

Muse - Mercy

Help me
I've fallen on the inside
I tried to change the game
I tried to infiltrate
But now I'm losing men in cloaks
Always seem to run the show
Save me from the ghosts and shadows
Before they eat my soul

Mercy, mercy
Show me mercy
From the powers that be
Show me mercy
Can someone rescue me

Absent gods and silent tyranny
We're going under hypnotised
By another puppeteer
And tell me why the men in cloaks
Always have to bring me down
Running from the ghosts and shadows
The world just disavows

Mercy, mercy
Show me mercy
From the powers that be
Show me mercy
Can someone rescue me

Show me mercy
Show me mercy please

Help me
I've fallen on the inside
And all the men in cloaks
Trying to devour my soul

Show me mercy
From the powers that be
Show me mercy
From the gutless and mean
Show me mercy
From the killing machines
Show me mercy
Can someone rescue me

Rose Windows - Strip Mall Babylon

Steve Hackett - Corycian Fire

We crept from the room
The moonlight spilled down the hall
And I tiptoed with you
Then we climbed out the window
And there in the yard
Our nightclothes blowing in the breeze
And you looked up at the sky
And said the moon would be ours

And all this time I hear those words like bombs in the distance
And oh my mind, I can still smell the rain in the air

But time's gone by
And I'm not the kid I was on that evening
And somewhere inside
I hope you still see me just the way I was before I walked away

Mud on your dress
Blood stains on the knees of my pants
And we went in search of the moon
'cause you said that you knew where it slept in the day
So we gathered up our tools:
A sling-shot in case it ran for the sky
And a blanket from your room, the one with no holes
So we could drag it all the way back home

And you said when we got it back
We would cut it in two
And we'd wear the hide so magnificent
And then I could control time for you
And I still hear the way that you laughed
When you found I believed you
And I could still feel you pull on my arm
When I was too afraid to go

And all this time I hear those words like bombs in the distance
And my, oh my, I can still smell the dirt on our hands

'cause in my head
You're still alive, you're still alive
And I know that it's a lie
But it's one I like, it's one I like

Pain of Salvation - 1979

Ακουστικές εκτελέσεις δικών τους κομματιών καθώς και 2 διασκευές -Holy Diver (Dio),  Perfect Day (Lou Reed)- αποτελούν το νέο άλμπουμ των Pain of Salvation - Falling Home που κυκλοφορεί από τις 10 Νοεμβρίου.

It was '79 and the world seemed more kind
And it was still okay to be modest
The sixties were gone but their soul lingered on
And the eighties were still just a promise

And I remember me and you

Two children of six still playing with sticks
And whatever we found in the forest
Our grandpas were strong and our parents still young
And the world seemed a little more honest

And I remember me and you

All still fine, 1979
Left behind, 1979

Do you remember?
Do you remember?
'Cause I remember
Me and you

Bruce Springsteen - High Hopes

Στο άλμπουμ συμπεριλαμβάνεται και μια νέα πολύ καλη εκτέλεση του The Ghost of Tom Joad.

Monday morning runs to Sunday night
Screaming slow me down before the new year dies
Well it won't take much to kill a loving smile
And every mother with a baby crying in her arms, singing
Give me help, give me strength
Give a soul a night of fearless sleep
Give me love, give me peace
Don't you know these days you pay for everything
Got high hopes
I got high hopes
Got high hopes
I got high hopes

Coming from the city, coming from the wild
I see a breathless army breaking like a cloud
They're gonna smother love, they're gonna shoot your hopes
Before the meek inherit they'll learn to hate themselves
Give me help, give me strength
Give a soul a night of fearless sleep
Give me love, give me peace
Don't you know these days you pay for everything
Got high hopes
I got high hopes
I got high hopes
I got high hopes

Give me help, give me strength
Give a soul a night of fearless sleep
Give me love, give me peace
Don't you know these days you pay for everything
Got high hopes
Got high hopes
I got high hopes
Got high hopes

Tell me someone now, what's the price
I wanna buy some time and maybe live my life
I wanna have a wife, I wanna have some kids
I wanna look in their eyes and know they'll stand a chance

Give me help, give me strength
Give a soul a night of fearless sleep
Give me love, give me peace
Don't you know these days you pay for everything
Got high hopes
Got high hopes
I got high hopes
Got high hopes

Got high hopes
I got high hopes
I got high hopes
I got high hopes

U2 - Ordinary Love

Το πρώτο τραγούδι που κυκλοφορούν οι U2 από το 2010 έχει γραφτεί προς τιμήν του Nelson Mandela  και θα ακούγεται στη βιογραφική ταινία Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom.

The sea wants to kiss the golden shore
The sunlight warms your skin
All the beauty that's been lost before wants to find us again

I can't fight you any more, it's you I'm fighting for
The sea throws rock together but time leaves us polished stones

We can't fall any further
If we can't feel ordinary love
And we can't reach any higher,
If we can't deal with ordinary love

Birds fly high in the summer sky and rest on the breeze.
The same wind will take care of you and I.
We'll build our house in the trees.

Your heart is on my sleeve
Did you put it there with a magic marker?
For years I would believe that the would couldn't wash it away

'Cause

We can't fall any further
If we can't feel ordinary love
And we can't reach any higher

Are we tough enough for ordinary love?

We can't fall any further, if
We can't feel ordinary love
And we can't reach any higher,
If we can't deal with ordinary love
