Small Blues Trap

Οι SMALL BLUES TRAP είναι:

ΗΧΟΓΡΑΦΗΣΕΙΣ-ΣΥΜΜΕΤΟΧΕΣ ...

-Oι Small Blues Trap δημιουργήθηκαν τον Αύγουστο του 2004 από την ανάγκη τριών ανθρώπων να εκφράσουν μαζί τις μουσικές τους ανησυχίες. (Παύλος Καραπιπέρης , Παναγιώτης Δάρας , Λευτέρης Μπέσιος)

Έδρα τους είναι τα χωριά Μαλεσίνα και Μαρτίνο του νομού Φθιώτιδος.

- Τον Οκτώβρη του 2004 ηχογράφησαν ένα CD-R αποτελούμενο από τραγούδια που αντιπροσωπεύουν τα κοινά ακούσματα και επιρροές των μελών του συγκροτήματος καθώς επίσης και 3 δικές τους συνθέσεις.(''Small Blues Trap'')

-Απ’ το Δεκέμβρη του 2004 ως τον Απρίλη του 2005 ηχογράφησαν 12 δικά τους τραγούδια που περιέχονται στο CD με το γενικό τίτλο ''Our Trap''.

Το ''Our Trap'' παρουσιάστηκε στην εκπομπή του Ηλία Ζάικου ‘ΙΣΤΟΡΙΕΣ ΑΠΟ ΒΙΝΥΛΙΟ’ στο πολιτιστικό ραδιόφωνο της ΕΡΤ3 στη Θεσσαλονίκη. (95,8 FM RADIO)

-Η συμμετοχή τους με δυό κομμάτια (''They Say I Sing Like Wolf'' , ''Three Lies'') στον μουσικό διαγωνισμό του περιοδικού ''Virtual Studio'' τους απέφερε το πρώτο βραβείο.

-Mετά την προσθήκη ενός νέου μέλους στην μπάντα (Γιώργος Πούλος στα τύμπανα) ακολούθησαν ζωντανές εμφανίσεις σε διάφορες πόλεις της Ελλάδος.

-Το Καλοκαίρι του 2006 ηχογράφησαν 12 καινούρια δικά τους τραγούδια που περιέχονται στο CD με το γενικό τίτλο ''Crossroad Ritual''. To ''Crossroad Ritual'' διανέμεται από την ANAZITISI RECORDS

-Από τον Ιανουάριο του 2007, drummer των Small Blues Trap είναι ο Στάθης Ευαγγελίου.

-Δύο τραγούδια τους περιέχονται στο CD που συνοδεύει το περιοδικό ''διαπασών'' τον Μάη του 2007.

-Τον Σεπτέμβριο του 2008 κυκλοφορεί το CD-συλλογή ''Magic Bus Sessions'' στο οποίο συμμετέχουν με 3 τραγούδια. Το CD διανέμεται από την UNIVERSAL.

-Τον Απρίλη του 2010 κυκλοφορεί το καινούριο τους album με τίτλο "Red Snakes & Cave Bats" στο οποίο παρουσιάζουν 12 καινούρια δικά τους τραγούδια και μια διασκευή στο "Buy A Dog" του Ηλία Ζάϊκου, frontman των Blues Wire.

 Οι Small Blues Trap αναμιγνύουν το πάθος τους για τα blues - που είναι και το πρωτογενές υλικό των συνθέσεών τους - με στοιχεία από άλλα μουσικά ιδιώματα δημιουργώντας έτσι έναν εξαιρετικά προσωπικό ήχο που σύμφωνα με τους κριτικούς, είναι αναγνωρίσιμος και μοναδικός...

Τον Ιανουάριο του 2009 ο Παύλος Καραπιπέρης - τραγουδιστής και αρμονικίστας των Small Blues Trap - κυκλοφόρησε το πρώτο του προσωπικό album με τίτλο "Fifteen Raindrops In An Ocean Of Blues Tales" .

Maniac

Οι Maniac είναι ένα ολοκαίνουριο συγκρότημα αποτελούμενο όμως από έμπειρους μουσικούς με χρόνια επαγγελματικής πείρας.

Κινούνται στο χώρο του Hard Rock.

Οι SoundSystem είναι:

Οι SoundSystem δημιουργήθηκαν τον περασμένο χειμώνα και έχουν στο ενεργητικό τους αρκετές εμφανίσεις στοRoadhouse Blues Club. Παίζουν ροκ  διασκευές και συνθέσεις του κιθαρίστα τραγουδιστή Ηλία Καλπούζου.  Το ηλικιακό εύρος των μελών του συγκροτήματος τους δίνει τη δυνατότητα να συνδυάζουν άνετα τον παραδοσιακό με το νεότερο ήχο κάνοντας το αποτέλεσμα πολύ ενδιαφέρον.

Οι Rumors είναι :

Οι Rumors ξεκίνησαν σαν ιδέα απο τον Blaki και τον Stargazer που είχαν προηγούμενη συνεργασία σε αλλο συγκρότημα . Σταδιακά ήρθαν σε επαφή με τον Ζou , τη Νανά και το Φοίβο ενώ προστέθηκε και ο αδερφός του πρώτου κιθαρίστα Θοδωρής ολοκληρώνοντας το παρόν σχήμα.

Βασικές επιρροές τους είναι οι Bob Dylan , White Stripes , Pink Floyd , Opeth , Radiohead , Porcupine Tree , Beatles , Muse , Archive.

Stavros Dadous & Los Tigainos

Οι STAVROS DADOUS & LOS TIGAINOS είναι:

Ο Σταύρος Νταντούς παίζει κλασσική κιθάρα από τα 6 του χρόνια υπό την καθοδήγηση της Λίζας Ζώης κι όταν μπήκε στην εφηβεία συμμετείχε σε διάφορα σχολικά μουσικά σχήματα. Το 1999 μετακόμισε στο Λονδίνο για σπουδές μουσικολογίας κι απέκτησε Master από το “School of Oriental and African Studies”. Σιγά, σιγά μεγάλη του αδυναμία γίνεται η παραδοσιακή αφρο-κουβανέζικη μουσική και τα κουβανέζικα κρουστά Bata. Το 2005 ο Σταύρος επέστρεψε στην Αθήνα. Η δίψα για μουσική τον οδηγεί στο να στήσει σιγά, σιγά ένα μικρό home studio στην σοφίτα του σπιτιού του κι αρχίζει να πειραματίζεται. Προϊόν αυτών των πειραματισμών ήταν το τραγούδι «Στο Σείριο Κατοικώ», που έμελλε να δανείσει τον τίτλο του στην πρώτη δισκογραφική δουλειά του. Ένας δίσκος γεμάτος έρωτες, ζωή, παιχνίδι, πολιτική, διάχυτος από τη ματιά ενός 20something νέου πάνω στην πραγματικότητα του μέσου Έλληνα. Από το "Στο Σείριο Κατοικώ" ο Σταύρος Νταντούς έχει προχωρήσει αλματωδώς. Την αμέσως επόμενη χρονιά δημιουργεί την μπάντα, το όνομα της οποίας προέρχεται από τη λέξη Τιγκαϊνη* που σύμφωνα με τις θεωρίες του αποτελεί βασικό συστατικό της  ζωτικότητας κι ουσίας της ζωής και το καλοκαίρι πραγματοποίησαν εμφανίσεις σε Σαντορίνη, Πάρο, Αντίπαρο, στο Dramatic Festival στην Άρτα κ.α. Μέσα στο 2010 και στο 2011 θα εμφανιστεί δίπλα σε ιερά τέρατα της Reggae, ανοίγοντας τις συναυλίες τους όπως The Wailers, Abyssinians, Congos, Israel Vibration, αλλά και σε άλλους καλλιτέχνες όπως Julian Marley και Terakotta ενώ το καλοκαίρι του `10 πραγματοποίησε περιοδεία με 27(!) εμφανίσεις.

* Τιγκαϊνη (η): Η βασική συστατική ουσία για τη διαβίωση και συντήρηση ζωής (Δεν θα έπρεπε να χρειαζόμαστε καφεΐνη, νικοτίνη, βιταμίνη, παραφίνη, ινσουλίνη, χλωρίνη, τριπταμίνη, κορίτσια με μίνι, παρά μόνο Τιγκαϊνη – γίναμε όλοι εξωγήινοι και κανένας δεν θα μείνει).

Ο Σταύρος Νταντούς μας συστήθηκε δισκογραφικά με το «Στο Σείριο κατοικώ» με τραγούδια για τους έρωτες, την ζωή, το παιχνίδι, την πολιτική, το πώς βλέπει ένας 20something νέος την πραγματικότητα και καταλήγει εκεί που θα κατέληγε ο μέσος Έλληνας γενικώς. Να θέλει να την κάνει ή για κάπου αλλού..., ή για τον κόσμο του.
σε πάρει από την Τζαμάικα, να σε πάει μια βόλτα μέχρι το όνειρο ή τον Σείριο, και να τα μπερδέψει όλα αυτά στο «Ελεύθερο πουλί» του Χρηστάκη, που εδώ ακούγεται πιο ρέγγε από ποτέ. Ο δίσκος γενικά ακούγεται στις παραλίες της Αττικής σαν να τον άκουγες στις παραλίες της Λατινικής Αμερικής. Αναπνέει φρεσκάδα, μιλάει ωραία σημερινά ελληνικά, χορεύεται, τραγουδιέται, έχει όσο χιούμορ χρειάζεται, έχει και δική του φιλοσοφία. Την «Τιγκαϊνη»*!

Paul Wassif 

Ο κιθαρίστας, τραγουδιστής και τραγουδοποιός. Paul Wassif γεννήθηκε το 1963 στο Μπρίστολ της Αγγλίας. 
Πέρασε από το Punk Rock συγκρότημα «The London Cowboys». Στη συνέχεια θήτευσε σε πολλές  μπάντες στη Νέα Υόρκη ανάμεσα στις οποίες ήταν και οι «The Ugly Americans» με τα πρώην μέλη των «New York Dolls»,Jerry Nolan και Sylvain Sylvain. Το 2008 το άλμπουμ-αναδρομή των London Cowboys «Relapse» συμπεριλάμβανε το τραγούδι «Dragging in the Dirt» με τον ιδρυτή του συγκροτήματος Steve Dior.
Ο Paul Wassif συνεργάστηκε σε δύο άλμπουμ του Bert Jansch. Στο άλμπουμ «Edge Of A Dream», που κυκλοφόρησε το 2002 ο  Paul Wassif κάνει ντουέτο με τον Bert Jansch στο «Black Cat Blues» που υπήρχε στο soundtrack του «Calendar Girls». Στο πιο πρόσφατο άλμπουμ του Bert Jansch «The Black Swan », ο PaulWassif έγραψε μαζί με το Bert το «Magdalina's Dance» και εμφανίζεται στα «My Pocket's Empty» και «AWoman Like You».
Σε μια συνέντευξή του στο περιοδικό Acoustic Guitar ο Bert Jansch περιέγραψε τον Paul Wassif  ως εξής : «Ένας φανταστικός κιθαρίστας. Έχει ένα πολύ-πολύ απαλό άγγιγμα.»  Ο Paul Wassif  παίζει πολύ συχνά στη σκηνή με το Bert Jansch. Μια ανασκόπηση από τη μουσική ιστοσελίδα musicOMH για τη συναυλία του Bert Jansch στην οποία εμφανίστηκαν επίσης και οι Bernard Butler και Beth Orton έγραψε πως «ο Wassif προσθέτει μια country χροιά στη μουσική, που παραμένει τόσο γλυκιά όσο ποτέ καθώς το πρώτο κομμάτι αγνοεί τα φωνητικά, για να φτιάξει το κέφι με την αναλλοίωτη ικανότητα αυτού του κιθαρίστα». Τον Αύγουστο του 2010 άνοιξε για τον Paul Bert Jansch παίζοντας δύο νύχτες στο Queen's Hall στα πλαίσια του Φεστιβάλ του Εδιμβούργου.
Το πρώτο του προσωπικό άλμπουμ «Looking Up Feeling Down» κυκλοφόρησε τον Ιούνιο του 2011 από τη BlackBrown & White Records με συμμετοχές από τους  Bert Jansch και Eric Clapton. Το άλμπουμ κυκλοφόρησε πρώτα ψηφιακά στις 5 Μαΐου του 2011. Οι Bert Jansch και Eric Clapton παίζουν και ηχογραφούν μαζί για πρώτη φορά σε δύο κομμάτια. Το  «Please Don't Leave», που είναι γραμμένο από τον Paul Wassif και το  «Southbound Train» που είναι γραμμένο από τον Big Bill Broonzy. Στο άλμπουμ συμμετέχουν επίσης ο ντράμερEvan Jenkins από τους  Neil Cowley Trio και οι Dave Watson, James Watson, Robin Clayton, Lynn Glaser,Steve Counsel and Seamus Beaghen.

Kaiser Chiefs - Little Shocks

Την ευκαιρία να βγάλουν χρήματα φτιάχνοντας τη δική τους εκδοχή  του νέου τους άλμπουμ The Future is Medieval δίνουν στους φίλους τους οι Kaiser Chiefs. Στην βασική του εκδοχή το νέο άλμπουμ αποτελείται από 14 κομμάτια αλλά υπάρχουν συνολικά 20 κομμάτια στην επίσημη σελίδα τους μέσα από τα οποία μπορεί κάποιος να επιλέξει τα 10 με αντάλλαγμα 7,50 στερλίνες και να δημιουργήσει τη δική του εκδοχή του The Future is Medieval. Στη συνέχεια του δίνεται η δυνατότητα να δημιουργήσει δική του σελίδα μέσα από την οποία μπορεί να πουλήσει τη δική του εκδοχή και να κερδίσει μία στερλίνα για κάθε κατέβασμα του άλμπουμ. Πολύ ωραίος τρόπος για να προωθήσουν τη νέα τους κυκλοφορία που έχει σαν πρώτο σινγκλ το Little Shocks.

Pain of Salvation - Linoleum / Road Salt

Για το τέλος του 2011 μετατίθεται όπως αναφέρουν οι πληροφορίες η κυκλοφορία του δεύτερου μέρους του καταπληκτικού άλμπουμ των Pain of Salvation, Road Salt One [2010] από το οποίο προέρχεται το Linoleum.

Το Linoleum  είχε πρωτοεμφανισθεί στο ομώνυμο (Linoleum) EP του 2009.

Radiohead - Lotus Flower

Όχι μόνο δεν άργησαν αλλά έβγαλαν και μια μέρα νωρίτερα το νέο τους άλμπουμ The King of Limbs   οι   Radiohead . Το The King of Limbs κυκλοφορεί από σήμερα αντί για αύριο Σάββατο, όπως είχε ανακοινωθεί. Όχι τόσο πρόωρα όσο εκείνος αλλά αρκετά νέος πήγε να συναντήσει τον παλιόφιλό του Phil Lynott ο  Gary Moore , που σύμφωνα με την είδηση του BBC πέθανε την ώρα που κοιμόταν σε ξενοδοχείο στην Ισπανία, που βρισκόταν για διακοπές. Ο Βορειοιρλανδός Gary Moore που ξεκίνησε την καριέρα του από την ηλικία των 16 όταν ο PhilL Lynott τον κάλεσε στο Δουβλίνο για να ενσωματωθεί στους Skid Row.

Στις 16 Νοεμβρίου κυκλοφόρησε άλλη μια συλλογή με κομμάτια του Jimi Hendrix  με τίτλο West Coast Seattle Boy: The Jimi Hendrix Anthology. Αξίζει πραγματικά κανείς να την αποκτήσει γιατί αποτελείται από τέσσερα cd  που στο πρώτο συμπεριλαμβάνονται συμμετοχές του σε ηχογραφήσεις άλλων συγκροτημάτων και τραγουδιστών, όπως το Utee με τη Rosa Lee Brooks, ενώ τα άλλα 3 περιέχουν ακυκλοφόρητο υλικό. Στο υλικό αυτό εκτός από κάποιες ζωντανές ηχογραφήσεις (που αποτελούν τη μειοψηφία) υπάρχει πληθώρα στουντιακών ηχογραφήσεων εξαιρετικής ποιότητας και σε ότι αφορά το θέμα του ήχου.

Σε πλήρη δραστηριότητα ήταν ο Solomon Burke ο επονομαζόμενος "King of Rock 'N' Soul",  που έφυγε από κοντά μας πριν λίγες ώρες. Άλλη μια μεγάλη φωνή σίγησε για πάντα. Όπως μας ενημερώνει σχετική είδηση ο Solomon Burke πέθανε στη διάρκεια πτήσεως προς το Άμστερνταμ (νεότερες πληροφορίες αναφέρουν πως άφησε την τελευταία του πνοή μετά την άφιξή του στο αεροδρόμιο). Εκεί ήταν προγραμματισμένη εμφάνισή του στις 12 Οκτωβρίου. Πιθανότερη αιτία είναι καρδιακή προσβολή (στην επίσημη σελίδα του αναφέρεται ότι ο θάνατος οφείλεται σε φυσικά αίτια) Αυτές τις ημέρες θα κυκλοφορούσε και το τελευταίο του άλμπουμ Hold on Tight (σε συνεργασία με τους De Dijk μαζί με τους οποίους ήταν προγραμματισμένο να εμφανισθεί στο Άμστερνταμ). Άλλο ένα άλμπουμ (Nothing's Impossible) είχε κυκλοφορήσει  τον Απρίλιο.
Ο  βραβευμένος με Grammy, Solomon Burke  είχε γεννηθεί στο Μπρούκλιν στις 21 Μαρτίου του 1940.
