Μερικά από τα πιο χαρακτηριστικά κομμάτια των The Seeds (αργότερα χρησιμοποίησαν το όνομα Sky Saxon and The Seeds) του συγκροτήματος του Sky Saxon, που έφυγε από τη ζωή στις 25 Ιουνίου. Οι Seeds ήταν ένα από τα κορυφαία συγκροτήματα του Garage Rock και είχαν μεγάλη επιρροή στα punk συγκροτήματα της δεκαετίας του 70. Ο Sky Saxon εξακολούθησε να παραμένει ενεργός μουσικά σε όλη τη διάρκεια της ζωής του. Οι Spitfire που είχαν συγκλονίσει όσους είχαν βρεθεί στη συναυλία των Saxon το 1986 στη Ριζούπολη θα ήταν ίσως το μεγαλύτερο ελληνικό συγκρότημα αν η μοίρα δεν είχε σταθεί πολύ σκληρή απέναντί τους.
Δυστυχώς δεν πρόλαβα από την αρχή την εφάνισή τους αλλά παρακολουθώντας τους να εκτελούν θαυμάσια τραγούδια από το θρυλικό First Attack δεν είχα καμμιά αμφιβολία για το αν έχουν ακόμη την ικανότητα να κατακτούν το κοινό τους.
Ο Βασίλης Παπακωνσταντίνου που ακολούθησε δεν έχασε την ευκαιρία της παρουσίας 40 χιλάδων θεατών να εντυπωσιάσει τους παρευρισκόμενους.
Η παρουσία του Βασίλη Παπακωνσταντίνου (που ήταν αφορμή για τη νόθευση του κοινού κάτι που ήταν από τα ελάχιστα αρνητικά της χθεσινής βραδιάς ) για 1 1/2 σχεδόν ώρα ικανοποίησε απόλυτα όλους όσους ήλθαν γι αυτόν και δε δυσαρέστησε καθόλου (μάλλον το αντίθετο) τους υπόλοιπους.
Οι Scorpions που με φωτεινή εξαίρεση το Humanity Hour Ι δεν έχουν κυκλοφορήσει τα τελευταία χρόνια άλμπουμ ανάλογα του παρελθόντος τους δεν έχουν σταματήσει να ικανοποιούν 100% όσους προσέρχονται στις συναυλίες τους.
Η παρουσία των Uli Jon Roth, Michael Schenker και Herman Rarebell ήταν καλός οιωνός που δικαιώθηκε 100% στην πράξη. Παίζοντας κυρίως κομμάτια από τις καλύτερες περιόδους του συγκροτήματος με σύμμαχο και το φεγγάρι που περιδιάβαινε τον ουρανό πίσω τους, μας χάρισαν μια πολύ όμορφη βραδιά.
Χωρίς εντυπωσιακά οπτικά εφφέ άφησαν όπως συνήθως τη μουσική να μιλήσει παρουσιάζοντας ένα μεγάλο μέρος από το πλούσιο ρεπερτόριό τους. Για όσους τους γνωρίζουν δεν ήταν καθόλου παράξενο το γεγονός πως ήταν τελείως διαφορετική η λίστα των κομματιών (25 κομμάτια την αποτελούσαν) με εκείνη της συναυλίας τους στη Μυτιλήνη μόλις 2 μέρες πριν. Σε αντίθεση με άλλα συγκροτήματα κάθε συναυλία τους είναι διαφορετική εμπειρία.
Highlights της βραδιάς η παρουσία των Uli Jon Roth, Michael Schenker και Herman Rarebell. Ειδικά η συμμετοχή του Michael Schenker μας έφερε χρώμα από U.F.O. (Doctor Doctor) και Led Zeppelin (Dazed and Confused και Good Times Bad Times). Στην απόδοση του Holiday βοήθησε και ο Βασίλης Παπακωνσταντίνου που κλήθηκε στη σκηνή για το σκοπό αυτό από τον Klaus Meine.
Δυστυχώς η συμμετοχή του κοινού ήταν υποτονική συγκρινόμενη με προηγούμενες συναυλίες τους και σε αυτό συνετέλεσε η παρουσία θεατών που είχαν κύριο στόχο να παρακολουθήσουν το Βασίλη Παπακωνσταντίνου
Στις 30 Ιουνίου κυκλοφόρησε το EP Got Nuffin των Spoon που περιέχει εκτός από το ομώνυμο και τα : Tweakers και Stroke Their Brains (που θεωρώ ως το καλύτερο από τα 3)
