Bo Diddley

Bo Diddley - Bo Diddley

Bo diddley bought his babe a diamond ring,
If that diamond ring dont shine,
He gonna take it to a private eye,
If that private eye cant see
Hed better not take the ring from me.

Bo diddley caught a nanny goat,
To make his pretty baby a sunday coat,
Bo diddley caught a bear cat,
To make his pretty baby a sunday hat.

Mojo come to my house, ya black cat bone,
Take my baby away from home,
Ugly ole mojo, where ya bin,
Up your house, and gone again.

Bo diddley, bo diddley have you heard?
My pretty baby said she wasnt for it.

Bo Diddley - You Can't Judge A Book By It's Cover

You can't judge an apple by looking at a tree
You can't judge honey by looking at the bee
You can't judge a daughter by looking at the mother
You can't judge a book by looking at the cover
Oh can't you see, oh you misjudge me
I look like a farmer, but I'm a lover
You can't judge a book by looking at the cover
Oh come on in closer baby,
hear what else I gotta say!
You got your radio turned down too low
Turn it up!
You can't judge sugar by looking at the cane
You can't judge a woman by looking at her man
You can't judge a sister by looking at her brother
You can't judge a book by looking at the cover
Oh can't you see, oh you misjudge me
I look like a farmer, but I'm a Lover
You can't judge a book by looking at the cover
You can't judge a fish by lookin' in the pond
You can't judge right from looking at the wrong
You can't judge one by looking at the other
You can't judge a book by looking at the cover
Oh can't you see, oh you misjudge me
I look like a farmer, but I'm a lover
You can't judge a book by looking at the cover

Bo Diddley - Who Do You Love

I walk 47 miles of barbed wire,
I use a cobra-snake for a necktie,
I got a brand new house on the roadside,
Made from rattlesnake hide,
I got a brand new chimney made on top,
Made out of a human skull,
Now come on take a walk with me, Arlene,
And tell me, who do you love?
Who do you love?
Who do you love?
Who do you love?
Who do you love?
Tombstone hand and a graveyard mine,
Just 22 and I don't mind dying.
Who do you love?
Who do you love?
Who do you love?
Who do you love?
I rode around the town, use a rattlesnake whip,
Take it easy Arlene, don't give me no lip,
Who do you love?
Who do you love?
Who do you love?
Who do you love?
Night was dark, but the sky was blue,
Down the alley, the ice-wagon flew,
Heard a bump, and somebody screamed,
You should have heard just what I seen.
Who do you love?
Who do you love?
Who do you love?
Who do you love?
Arlene took me by my hand,
And she said ooowee Bo, you know I understand.
Who do you love?
Who do you love?
Who do you love?
Who do you love?

Bo Diddley - I'm a man

Now when I was a little boy,
At the age of five,
I had somethin' in my pocket,
Keep a lot of folks alive.

Now I'm a man,
Made twenty-one,
You know baby,
We can have a lot of fun.

I'm a man,
I spell m-a-n...man.

All you pretty women,
Stand in line,
I can make love to you baby,
In an hour's time.

I'm a man,
I spell m-a-n...man.

I goin' back down,
To kansas to
Bring back the second cousin,
Little john the conqueroo.

I'm a man,
I spell m-a-n...man.

The line I shoot,
Will never miss,
The way I make love to 'em,
They can't resist.

I'm a man,
I spell m-a-n...man.

Bo Diddley - Mona

Mona, I need you
Mona, ooo-ooo, Mona
Yeah! Yeah-yeah-yeah!
Mona
Ooh-ooo-ooo, Mona

Tell ya Mona, what I wanna do
Get-a my house a-next door to you
Can I see you sometime?
A-we could go kissin' through the blind

Can you come out in the front do'?
Listen to my heart go bumpbity-bump
I'll lead you baby, that's no lie
Without your love I will surely die

Hey-ay, Mona
Ooo-ooo, Mona
Hey! Whoa-oh, whoa-ooh, Mona
Hey-aay! Mona

(Guitar)

Hey-Hey-aay, Mona
Ooh-ooh, Mona

Can you come out on the front?
Listen to my heart go bumpity-bump
Hey little baby, that's no lie
Without your love I will surely die.

(Guitar to end)
