Έντονο το ελληνικό χρώμα στο νέο άλμπουμ του Joe Bonamassa, Black Rock που πήρε το όνομά του από το ομώνυμο στούντιο της Σαντορίνης στο οποίο ηχογραφήθηκε. Αυτό φαίνεται κυρίως στα Quarryman's Lament, Bird on a Wire και Athens to Athens.
Ανάμεσα στους μουσικούς που συμμετέχουν είναι οι Θανάσης Βασιλόπουλος (κλαρίνο) και Μανώλης Καραντίνης (μπουζούκι).
Άλλο ένα στοιχείο το οποίο τον συσχετίζει με τη χώρα μας είναι η συμμετοχή του στο νέο supergroup Black Country, στο οποίο μαζί με τους Glenn Hughes, Jason Bonham είναι μέλος και ο συμπατριώτης μας Derek Sherinian. Οι Black Country αναμένεται σύντομα να κυκλοφορήσουν τον παρθενικό τους δίσκο.
